What Students Can Work on Over Christmas Break

Below you will find a combination of games, lessons, and practice students can work on while over break if they have some down time or they just need some extra practice.

Reading

On www.newsela.com, students can choose leveled articles on many different topics.

Directions:

Choose "Sign Up", "I'm a Student" then use the code GD22FW to join Mr. Johnson's class. Here's how it works:




Math:

On www.tenmarks.com, students logins are their first and last name (no spaces: eg. mattjohnson) and their passwords are their lunch numbers followed by 00 (eg: 1234500)

Students can watch lessons, complete activities and play games.  Here's a quick preview:



Science

On www.youtube.com/user/SteveSpanglerScience students can watch and learn how to do cool science tricks like this:


Social Studies:

On www.libertyskids.com/fungames.html students can watch videos, play games and much more on 3rd grade social studies topics. Here's one that's about our next social studies unit:



Exercise:

At www.gonoodle.com, students can do exercises such as Zumba kids and many more active dances and games. Just click Sign up and students can have hours of energy-releasing fun just like this class favorite:



Also, students may review lessons, projects, and other videos on www.classroom.google.com. They just need to enter their email address.
