January 19-22 (Happy MLK Jr. Week)

Here's what we are learning this week:

Reading: Book Clubs; Guided Reading Stations; continue Patricia Polacco author study

Spellinglet, above, girl, sometimes, mountains, worn, fourth, war, horse, morning, poured, geometric, angles, acute, obtuse, right Pretest on Wednesday, Test on Friday

Science: Begin Heat and Matter unit

Social Studies:  Begin Slavery unit

Math: Begin Topic 8: Relating Multiplication and Division


Important Dates and Info for This Week:

Monday (art) - NO SCHOOL (MLK Holiday)



Tuesday (music)- Report Cards and graded papers go home

Wednesday (PE)-

Thursday (computer lab)- 

Friday (computer lab)- Spirit Day, Awards Day (3rd grade- 1:30pm)

**Students should be working on science fair projects. The science fair is Monday, February 8th.  Each week until the science fair, students will be asked to submit information to make sure they are working on their project. By Friday, January 22nd, students will be turning in their testable question and hypothesis. Materials list and procedures is due Friday, January 29th. Data results and conclusion will be turned in with your project boards on Feb. 8th. Students will be turning in information via Google Forms in class.
