Reading: Book Clubs; Guided Reading Stations; Reading Response, continue Patricia Polacco author study

SpellingTBA Pretest on Thursday, Test on Friday

Science: Continue Heat and Matter: (review matter and mass), volume, states of matter; Matter test on Friday

Social Studies:  Continue Slavery (beginning, life of a slave, Gullah)

Math: Topic 8: Lessons 8-4 (8 and 9 as a divisor), 8-5 (Problem Solving), 8-6 (Making Sense of Multiplication and Division Equations), review on Thursday, Topic 8 test on Friday

Friday (library)- Spirit Day, graded papers go home (1st grades for 3rd 9 weeks)

**Students should be working on science fair projects. The science fair is Monday, February 8th.  Each week until the science fair, students will be asked to submit information to make sure they are working on their project. By Wednesday, January 27th,  students will be turning in their testable question and hypothesis. Materials list and procedures is due Friday, January 29th. Data results and conclusion will be turned in with your project boards on Feb. 8th.

*We will take up money for the Columbia field trip from Wednesday, February 3 to Wednesday, February 10 and the cost is $25 plus an additional $5 for chaperones.
